Our Foothills is an anthology of short stories, poetry, and reminiscences anchored by the people and landscape of the Appalachian and Blue Ridge Foothills in western North Carolina. Some stories are fanciful; some are personal reflections; and others are historical fiction based on real events, places and people. The authors hope that you will find the stories easy reading and entertaining.

The Our Foothills series is now an annual publication. Each volume contains contributions of prose, essays, and poetry designed to be amusing, eclectic, and informative.
